FIXED ===== - Lilly's first "I've got a gift for you" goes through the dialog correctly but the ring doesn't appear in anyone's inventory. * I did a test and this seems to work now. - I wasn't able to enjoy the battle for sanity because my brain/will attacks would not deploy. * I was able to generally place brains. I did quite a bit of balance tweaking and fixed an issue where your sanity didn't go away and the challenge became easier after every attempt. That being said, I did once run into an issue during testing that I've never seen - the screen stopped refreshing and dead creatures just stood there. - When I had the dragon tattoo and when to increase a psionic skill, it maxed out all skills and introduced some extra text. * Basically the tattoo seemed to be increasing all the skills. - The door behind the suit of armor in the Vault (the one you can put Lucy in) did not open. I had to use jumptopoint to get past it (and then save and load to get my companions with me). * I think this is working properly now. It was broken in a previous build. - After Daniel revived Lilly we went back to Port Brighton instead of directly to Woodhaven. When we got there Lilly's "Thanks, and by the way I'm a secret agent for Woodhaven" dialog overlayed the "Welcome to Port Brighton" dialog. Eventually the game froze. * I think the issue happens when the PC tries to start talking to the dockmaster, walking into the trigger that switches control to Daniel who tries to talk to Lilly. I now issue a "ClearAllActions" command to the PC in hopes that won't happen. One time, I went talked to the dockmaster at Port Brighton and all the options were grayed out. I had to crash the game and try again. Currently there's at least a 50.50 chance that conversation on the docks (Woodhaven, Brighton, Brighton Underground) is broken. The "Got any landlubber goods" and "Walk Away" options are grayed out. The other options like "Manage ships are cargo" are still green, but clicking them does nothing. * I think these two items are related to the one above it. - If you leave the ADVENT game by clicking the "Quit the Story" button its interface panel is still there back in the regular adventure. * Good catch - I should be closing the GUI now. - The gnome's hidden caverns on Diablo have stopped working. When I dig I fall down and then get the "nothing here" message. * Something strangely changed. I put in a longer delay before teleporting the player and it started working again. - I noticed there's a "Pirates vs. Ninja" mini-module. Is there actually a way to get to it, or was it just a testing thing you left in? * At the end of the credits, you jump into the mini-module at the end. You can also turn on debug mode using the Game Options item and jump there directly. - Really (really) hate to say it, but I'm still not getting any $$ back for my DW2 ship, at least not at the Underground docks * I did a test, taking a character with ship deeds and clicking "Jump to DW3" after starting a new campaign and got some money. This was broken in a previous build, so maybe that was the cause? - Typo in Drake's first conv. In the "Such a fine lad" line (when PC is romancing Daniel), he says "O'clourse", should be "O'course" * Fixed. - PC died fighting Lady Meredith's shade on the non-backwards side of her house, but Death speaks to PC in backwards speech. I thought it was funny and great even on the wrong side, but not sure if that was the intention. * When I was writing this, I realized it was a possibility, but decided it was too funny to take out. * When I teleported, my companions were often teleported with me. - I used to require a more complex method for teleporting companions, but opted for an "everyone goes at once" approach. * Many words were accepted in alphabet assault, including two eight-letter words, one of which was "greedier." - I used a free dictionary used as part of a spellchecker. It looks like the Merriam-Webster dictionary allows for greedier, so maybe this one is okay. It's not perfect, though. There's a limit as to how many words are supported (2das have a 32,000 line limit), and I sometimes notice unusual words are missing. * The treasure inside the Isle of Flesh wasn't there. - I think this was fixed in the last build. I see wp_treasure_flesh_1 in the "belly of the beast" map at 91, 106. * When finishing playing Lute Hero in Death's domain, it makes the camera in Character Mode quit following me (just like it used to do in Lute Hero) - Yes, this is one of the sad realities of using the Gestalt camera system (or at least my implementation of it). You can switch it to whatever you'd like when you're done. * Why wasn't I able to tell Lord Brighton that I found all the map pieces? - It's always a challenge to find time for everything. I think that the general intent is that once the player gets both "keys" and the map pieces, they'll head straight for Vault Island. Maybe I'll find some time to write dialog in case they head back to port first. * In the text adventure, I could not for the life of me figure out how to stick that bone through the door to the woman. *and I tried really hard* - That's one of the reasons text adventures aren't popular any more. "give bone to witch" should work fine. There's a complete walkthrough in the dw3.txt file. - Not sure if I should have been able to move, but the "go" commands did nothing. * There were some cases where the go command wouldn't work (e.g. "go n"). I typically just use "n" to go north. - When exiting the text adventure, the text window would not go away (had to reload). * Should be fixed now. - After finishing the will/brain incident on the Isle of Insanity, the brain window would consistently reopen if closed until I left the island. * I added some code that should hopefully prevent this from happening - If I choose the option to seal up the Vault, I find it strangely unsatisfying that my romance with Heather does not resolve in the epilogue. I mean, isn't the point of sealing up the Vault and leaving because I'm unwilling to make the sacrifice -- because I'm unwilling to part from my love? * I did some more fiddling with this, making sure the dialog options were linked up properly. TESTED/TO-TEST ============== * Vault door at end ! Tested - works. * Gold for ships (get deeds, then use jump to DW1) ! Works * Ring not given !Works * Epilogue (Heather romance, seal Vault) ! Seems to work * Insanity - GUI close on end ? Possible issues - test more * Dragon tattoo (jump to holding area & test) ? Problem identified & maybe fixed? POSSIBLE ISSUES TO FIDDLE WITH ============================== - Move all Lilly/Raven spawn points in HS areas - My ship was sunk by a whirlpool. I was deposited back in Port Brighton. My ship (that sunk) was visible in the dock. After I bought a new ship and went to the High Seas, it was visible on the water.
